Foster Parent Network
The LVHS has pets that would benefit from being in a foster home. Foster homes allow animals to socialize, heal, and grow while they continue to search for their forever home. We are always in need of foster families. At LVHS, we are continuously looking to expand our foster network due to all of the benefits being in a foster home brings to homeless animals.
Help us develop a foster community that will provide animals in need with a loving home until they find their forever home!
When you become a foster parent you are creating great experiences and memories for animals that have been abused, abandoned or forgotten. We will support you throughout the entire foster process. We will help supply you with food, litter, veterinary care through our Community Vet Clinic and other items that you may need to keep your foster pet happy.

Once your foster application is accepted, please stop by our shelter to see our animals available for foster. Please note that not all animals that are available for adoption are eligible for foster.
We hope to see you soon!
Short Term Fosters
If you’re looking to participate in a Dog’s Day Out, or give a shelter pet a weekend-long break from the shelter—consider becoming a short term foster! Even just a few hours outside of the shelter is a welcome break for any pet. The chance to decompress and meet new people is a relaxing change of pace.
If you have just completed a Dog’s Day Out please fill out the Jotform below. We’d love to know how your experience was and how you dog did out in the community.
